Customer Support & Personal Assistant

About the Role

This is a dual role, with Customer Support as your main focus, complemented by some Personal Assistant responsibilities. You'll be the first point of contact for customers needing help with our software—whether they're experiencing an issue or just need guidance. Alongside this, you'll support our Management team with administrative tasks to help keep the business running smoothly.

Customer Support Responsibilities

  • Responding to customer queries via phone and our support ticketing system
  • Troubleshooting issues and guiding users through solutions
  • Providing clear, helpful instructions on how to use features in our software
  • Recording and tracking issues to help improve the product and support experience

Personal Assistant Responsibilities

  • Data entry and maintaining internal databases
  • Drafting, proofreading, and formatting emails, letters, and reports
  • Booking flights, accommodation, and transport
  • Ordering office supplies and handling ad-hoc admin tasks

What We're Looking For

We're after someone who brings clarity and calm to every interaction. You'll need to be professional, reliable, and confident when juggling tasks and switching contexts.

You'll ideally have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service instincts and a friendly, patient approach
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Confidence using and learning new software
  • Proficiency in computer skills and applications is a must, such as Google Suite, O365, and knowledge of Windows PCs. (Github and Slack are a bonus)
  • Prior experience in customer support, admin, or helpdesk roles
  • Experience with medical software or working with medical professionals is a bonus (especially private specialists)

The Role

Elixir seeks a Senior Full Stack Software Developer to join our Christchurch team. You will be responsible for developing high-quality, scalable, secure, and robust new features, and ensuring the system is well maintained. The successful candidate will work directly with our Head of Development and collaborate with our development and client services team.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Node.js, React, Python, and MongoDB, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions in a collaborative environment.

The Ideal Candidate

Our ideal Software Developer will have the following attributes:

  • 5+ years of commercial comprehensive full-stack software development experience
  • Proficiency in Node.js, React, TypeScript, and MongoDB
  • Experience in Docker, Python, Go, .NET, and Java
  • Experience in API integration & development
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Skilled written and verbal communicator
  • The right to work in New Zealand (Permanent Resident or Citizen of New Zealand)
  • Experience in Health, or a comparable industry, will be highly advantageous
  • Our office is in Christchurch; however, we would consider hiring the right candidate elsewhere in New Zealand
